About our Ling Cod.
Ling Cod, also known as buffalo cod or cultus cod, is a fish of the greenling family. Our wild caught Alaskan ling cod portions are boneless, skinless, and have a mild flavor and buttery texture. They are frozen in 5-8 oz individual portions. Since our ling cod is cut in house from a whole fillet, each box will contain a variety of collar, center, and tail pieces.
What makes our Ling Cod special?
Our Ling Cod comes from our trusted partners Seth and Chris at Yakobi fisheries in Southeast Alaska. Partnering with other small, family-owned fisheries allows us to guarantee quality fish that you can trust for your own family.
What about the health benefits?
Wild Alaskan Ling Cod is an excellent source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids. It promotes healthy bones, cartilage, skin and blood. The omega-3 fatty acids also promote heart health and can help to lower cholesterol.
Why we love it!
Ling Cod is a lean fish with a mild flavor profile and firm texture. It has large, delicious flakes that have a slightly sweet flavor. Ling cod works especially well in recipes using strong flavors since the fish will not detract from other ingredients.
