Yes. We only catch and source fish and shellfish that are sustainably harvested in the U.S. and that are regulated by the state or federal government to prevent overfishing.

Yes. Every product we carry is wild caught, meaning that we do not carry any farm raised or cultivated fish.

Wild For Salmon catches all of our Sockeye Salmon, and we carefully source all other products from fisherman that share the same values of quality and sustainability as we do.

Shipping

All orders are carefully packaged on a layer of dry ice in an insulated shipping box. There are protective layers between products, and protective layers separating the dry ice from the product.

Never directly touch dry ice with bare skin. You can leave the dry ice in the shipping container in a well ventilated area, with the lid off, and it will evaporate in 1-2 days. Additional information can be found on our shipping page.

No, we only ship within the contiguous U.S.

Product arrives frozen with dry ice in the box: 

The product is completely safe to put in the freezer and use after disposing of the dry ice!

Dry ice has completely sublimated, but product is still frozen: 

The product iscompletely safe to put in the freezer and use! As the case makes its way to you, the dry icewithin the box will sublimate, but the salmon will remain frozen and top quality for theentire journey due to our packing techniques.

Product is thawed along edges upon arrival, but still solid in the center of eachpiece: 

The product is perfectly safe to refreeze in order to cook and use at a laterdate! Thanks to the specific packing technique we have developed over the years, yourproduct should remain frozen in the core/center of each fillet or portion, making itcompletely safe to keep for enjoyment at a later date. For peace of mind, you can check thetemperature of the thawed salmon, which should be under 40 degrees regardless. Thawingwill not degrade the quality of your fish.

Product is completely thawed upon arrival: 

Immediately check the temperature of the product:

  • If the product is 40 degrees or below: It is safe to refreeze and use at a later date!
  • If the product is above 40 degrees: It is not safe to consume and should be discarded. Shouldthis unfortunate situation occur with your product, we ask that you first take photos of thespoiled product and then reach out to our team immediately to let us know. We provide a 100%guarantee, meaning a full refund or product replacement. Only dispose of the salmon if it iswarm to the touch and above 40 degrees. Salmon that is thawed but still cool and below 40degrees is still considered safe to use.
