Thanks to all who joined us last week for our holiday tasting! Wild for Salmon hosts seasonal gatherings at our storefront in Bloomsburg, PA where we invite our local customers to come try our products, see what is new in the shop and behind-the-scenes, and, plus, it gives Chef Josh a great excuse to try out new recipes that have been bookmarked or pinned to the backroom bulletin board over the past few months.
This time he whipped up some former favorites like the Creamy Potato and Leek Soup with Garlic Pepper Smoked Salmon that we first posted last fall on our Recipes Blog. And Mini-Salmon Cakes that mostly followed this older recipe of ours but was a whole lot simpler using the new ground salmon product!
But -- he also added new favorites to the mix, and with an audience! Both of our new recipes feature our Nova Style Lox; this product is already a favorite for many of us in the store, but sometimes we need some inspiration to mix it up.

It was new to us, but now we’re not going back on this keto-friendly appetizer. We adapted this recipe from Skinny Taste by Gina Homolka, using our own product. Once you’ve thawed our Nova Style Smoked Salmon, this preparation is quick, easy and is good practice for sushi rolls the next time!
